35th Anniversary Collaboration Series - G-SHOCK × ERIC HAZE Collaboration Model
This new G-SHOCK×ERIC HAZE Collaboration Model is being released to mark the 35 years that have passed since G-SHOCK first revolutionized timekeeping with its innovative toughness back in 1983. Eric Haze was the designer of the logos for the G-SHOCK 25th anniversary and 30th anniversary models, and so he was called upon once more for the 35th anniversary model as well.
The popular GA-700, with its large case and iconic front button, was selected as the base model, to which is added a graffiti paint pattern that creates a really authentic G-SHOCK look. Both the long and short band segments appear as if they have had paint applied. The tip of the long band segment has a star mark that is an Eric Haze icon, the band rink is marked with the year 2017, and the face is marked with the special commemorative model logo. Eric Haze’s signature is engraved on the back cover, and the special package has a bold Eric Haze design decorated with the proud 35-year logo.
ERIC HAZE
Born in New York in 1961, Eric Haze hit the hip hop and street culture scene while still a boy, and during the 80's he became an artist of distinction on the graffiti scene. Since then, he has been a major influence in art, product design, and graphic design. He has created a logo for Tommy Boy Records, the EPMD and MTV icons, as well as album designs for Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, L.L. Cool J, and others. Other projects of note are the G-SHOCK 25th and 30th anniversary logos, as well as designs for Nike, New Balance, Medicom, Scion (Toyota), and more. All of this makes Eric Haze a pioneer in the graffiti world and one of its most respected artists.
